FCSBM to be represented on Constitution Revision Commission

Tallahassee, Florida

Speaker of the House, Richard Corcoran, has made a wise choice in selecting Florida Coalition of School Board Members Immediate Past President and one of its Founding Members, Erika Donalds, to serve on the Constitution Revision Commission (CRC).

As FCSBM’s Immediate Past President and Chairman of our Legislative Task Force, Erika is the embodiment of the FCSBM motto “Relentlessly Dedicated to Student Success”.  She has been an advocate for students and parents long before serving on the Collier County School Board. We know without doubt that she will put the needs of students first in all education-related decisions and do all she can to empower families to make informed decisions about what’s best for their children.

More than an expert in education, Mrs. Donalds’ experience in finance as a CPA will also serve her well on the CRC.

Erika’s perspective as the only sitting School Board Member to serve on the CRC will add greatly to the viewpoints of several other education thought leaders who have already been appointed. We are proud that FCSBM alone has this distinction and pleased that our members are recognized as the rising and dominant voice in education from a School Board perspective. FCSBM is thrilled to see one of our own join the ranks of Florida’s most influential people.

Florida’s Constitution is in good hands with Erika Donalds. Our Board and Members couldn’t be more excited as we congratulate her on her historic appointment to the Constitution Revision Commission.

– Shawn R. Frost, FCSBM president
